Owner & Founder of ‘Scrumpy Pig’, Richard Brant who was originally from the West Country growing up near Taunton in Somerset moved to the North West of England in 2004 to the beautiful county of Lancashire where he has now settled.
The inspiration for the name of our business, offering outside catering in Chorley, is through his upbringing in the heart of Somerset. Richard grew up surrounded by traditional cider farms with endless rows of apple orchards covering the scenic landscape and Richard has many vivid memories of tasty hog roast feasts washed down with jugs of local Scrumpy Cider.
